An Ordinance Of The Mayor And Council Of The City Of College Park, Amending Chapter 148, “Peace And Good Order”, By Renaming The Chapter, Repealing And Re-Enacting §148-1, “Unlawful Acts”, Enacting §148-2, “Adoption Of Rules And Regulations For City Recreational Facilities”, Repealing, Re-Enacting, Renaming And Renumbering §148-2, “Violations And Penalties; Intimidating Or Impeding City Employees; And To Amend Chapter 110, “Fees And Penalties”, By Repealing And Re-Enacting §110-12“Penalties”, To Delete A Number Of The Provisions That Have Been Included In Other City Ordinances Or Are Better Enforced At The State Or County Level, To Authorize The Adoption Of Certain Rules And Regulations For Use Of City Recreational Facilities By Council Resolution, And To Set A Fine For Non-Compliance.
This Ordinance would adopt certain rules and regulations for use of City parks, playgrounds, and other recreational facilities, including fields.

The Mayor and Council will hold a Public Hearing on this Ordinance on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. during the regular Mayor and Council meeting. You may attend the meeting in person at 7401 Baltimore Avenue, 2ndFloor Council Chambers, College Park, MD 20740, or use the virtual Zoom platform. To obtain the meeting link or phone number to join the meeting, please visit the Mayor and Council Meeting page on our website . All interested parties will have the opportunity to be heard.
If you are unable to participate in the meetings, you may submit written comment prior to the Public Hearing. In order to be received by the Council as part of the record, the comment must include the specific topic to which it relates and the full name and address of the person submitting the comment. Written comment should be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on the day of the hearing to cpmc@collegeparkmd.gov.
