Notice of Public Hearing - September 22, 2020 at 7:30 p.m.

Petition request for the implementation of permit restricted parking for the 8400 & 8500 blocks of 48th Avenue

The Mayor and Council of the City of College Park will hold a virtual Public Hearing on Tuesday, September 22 at 7:30 p.m. to take public comment on the petition request for permit restricted parking on this block. All interested parties shall have an opportunity to be heard. Following the Public Hearing, the Mayor and Council may take action on the request. The petition requested enforcement of permit restricted parking Monday through Saturday from 7:00am to 5:00pm, with a 2-hour limit for non-permit holders, due to an overcrowding of parked vehicles on a daily basis that do not belong to the residents of the block. The petition was signed by 68% of the affected households, which meets the threshold for a public hearing. More information can be found on the City’s web site at www.collegeparkmd.gov under “Public Hearing Notice.” Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, this will be a virtual Public Hearing.
