Rebecca Bailey,

Animal Control Officer

Meet the City's New Animal Control Officer: Rebecca Bailey

Please help us welcome our new Animal Control Officer, Rebecca Bailey! Rebecca has more than four years of experience as an animal control officer as well as ten years of experience working with animals including as a Veterinary Technician and Kennel Technician. She brings a vast knowledge and talent to the position, as well as a community-minded approach. She came to the City on August 17, 2020 and already has begun to learn the ins and outs of College Park.

Rebecca looks forward to working with the College Park community, and wants to be a resource for residents when they need services or have questions. The most rewarding aspect of her position is reuniting a lost pet with its family or finding a forever home for an animal in need. One of her most memorable experiences was when she responded to a dog who had fallen from a second story window and became stuck on a roof. The owner was out of town, so she had to climb a ladder and attempt the rescue effort solo - thankfully it was a successful mission accomplished!

An avid pet lover, Rebecca is that she has a Lutino Cockatiel named Leo who she rescued 3 years ago. A cool fact about her is that her favorite movies are the Back to Future series, which she can quote from beginning to end ("Great Scott!").

We are so excited to have Rebecca onboard!
