PROST! The City of College Park is hosting its last in a series of 5 summer concerts and you are invited! Join us on the plaza at the new City Hall building for Friday Night LIVE! OKTOBERFEST on September 9th.
This last event will feature the Edelweiss Band, specialists in traditional Bavarian and Oktoberfest music for Washington, Baltimore and the N. Virginia area since 1969.There will also be the Schuhplattler und Gebirgstrachten Verein Washingtonia dance group, a traditional bell ringing, knee slapping, yodeling German Schuhplattler dance group! Ther will be something for everyone-- music, food, beer, and entertainment. There will be children’s performers, activities and arts and crafts available for kids as well. We will also be giving out some City of College Park logo’ d beer steins to the first 300 adults attending. (while supplies, last of course)
So, come and celebrate Oktoberfest with us on Sept. 9th here at City Hall.
All concerts will be held at City Hall Plaza (7401 Baltimore Avenue) until September from 6:30 to 8:30PM.
Parking will be offered for free at the Downtown College Park parking garage at the corner of Yale and Knox. Local food and beer will be available for purchase during the event!
College Park Day
Saturday, October 15, 2022 12:00-6:00pm College Park Aviation Museum
Save the date for College Park Day on Saturday, October 15, 2022, from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the College Park Aviation Museum and Airport (1985 Corporal Frank Scott Drive)! The event is open to the public and free to attend.
Get ready for College Park's signature event! This fun-filled day includes unique activities, exhibitors, vendors, food, drinks and sweets. Beer will be provided by Denizen's Brewing Company.
We will have a musical stage featuring performances by the Wild Anacostia's and the East River Band- with more to come.
For entertainment of all ages, our family stage will present a Sense of Wonder and The Great Zucchini.
Food & Drink Vendors
We are looking for about Food & Drink Vendors to cover a variety of offerings. Completed registration materials for Food & Drink Vendors are due by Friday, September 9, 2022. A Food & Drink vendor registration fee of $100 will be due once approved by the College Park Day Committee. Click below for further details.
Community Exhibitors & Vendors
Completed registration materials for Community Exhibitors & Vendors are due by Friday, September 16, 2022. A registration fee of $50 is also due with the registration materials. If you are a non-profit community organization there is no registration fee. Click below for further details.

- Pumpkin Carving Contest, October 1-28 Let’s give College Park PUMPKIN to talk about with a Pumpkin Carving Challenge! Residents have from Oct.1 through Oct. 28th to carve their best Jack-OLanterns and submit their entries online. We will post our favorites on the City’s Facebook account and our website and will be awarding 1st place prizes on Oct. 31st.
- Veteran's Day Observance, November 11 The City of College Park will honor all veterans who have served in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard, both in times of war and peace. Celebrate Veterans Day with us at the Veterans Memorial in College Park to honor the brave men and women for their commitment to our nation.
- Good Neighbor Day, Saturday, November 12th, 2022 Join the City of College Park, University of Maryland (UMD), and Maryland- National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) for an event that brings together the College Park community to beautify shared spaces, educate and engage in sustainable practices, and take pride in Greater College Park. - Winter Wonderland, Saturday, December 10th, 2022 Celebrate the Holiday Season with us at City Hall! Mark your calendars for the City's holiday event featuring hot coco and coffee, fun events for the kids, music, carolers, presentation of awards to our Gingerbread House Competition winners and a visit from the man himself, Santa Claus!
