Redistricting Commission

The City’s Redistricting Commission will hold two meetings for residents to review and provide feedback on the Commission’s draft City District maps prior to the Commission presenting its report to the City Council on September 27th. Residents can review the draft maps at www.CollegeParkMDRedistricting2022.com.

The first meeting was held at Davis Hall (9217 51st Ave) on Thursday, September 1, 2022. The second meeting will be held at City Hall (7401 Baltimore Avenue) at 7:00 pm Monday, September 12, 2022. Residents can join the upcoming meeting via Zoom at https://zoom.us/j/91603412440.

The Commission has been meeting since May to review the 2020 Census data, data from the University regarding its residential population, and projections for residential projects under construction. An analysis of the population data confirms that the City must adjust the current district boundaries in order to have equal districts.
