Bike Lanes on Rhode Island Avenue
Please join College Park staff and consultants RK&K at 7:00 p.m. on February 8 to learn more about the design of protected bike lanes on Rhode Island Avenue between Greenbelt Road and Muskogee Street. The City has been coordinating with Prince George’s County DPW&T and WMATA to improve safety for all road users along this stretch of Rhode Island Avenue. The City will present updated plans and will accept public comments and feedback before finalizing the design. University of Maryland Child Development Center
The University of Maryland’s Child Development Center, operated by Bright Horizons, is scheduled to open February 1, 2021. The Center is located on the City’s property at 4601 Calvert Road. In return for leasing the property at no cost to the University, City residents not affiliated with the University have priority for 14 slots at the Center.
