Celebrating Two New City Amenities!
The Hollywood Gateway Park and the Trolley Trail Connection in Berwyn are now Open!
Hollywood Gateway Park Ribbon Cutting
The Mayor and Council, City Staff and Developers participated in the ribbon cutting at Hollywood Gateway Park on Monday, October 5 at 10:00 a.m.
It was the overall sentiment that this was a long-time in the making. It adds a nice vibe to the neighborhood, that we hope all will enjoy! I would be remiss not to mention the architecture - absolutely breathtaking! On windy days, be sure to go into the pavillion to hear the chiming of the bamboo.

Trolley Trail Ribbon Cutting
The Mayor and Council, City Staff and the project team participated in the ribbon cutting of the Trolley Trail's newest connecting segment in Berwyn on Friday, October 2 at 10:00 a.m. The Trolley Trail, which follows the old trolley train's path along Rhode Island Avenue down towards the District, is a widely used 3.8 mile hiker/biker path. The Trolley Trail also connects to multiple other walking or bicycling trails, including the Indian Creek trail and the Paint Branch trail. The Rhode Island Avenue Trolley streetcar ran from 1903 to 1962 and connected College Park to the nation's capital. After streetcar service ended in the 1960s, it was converted into a hiker-biker trail. A permaculture garden resides on the trail in the Berwyn area.
