COLLEGE PARK DAY!


Saturday, October 5 from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m.

It's our Favorite Day of the Year!

The City's 10th annual College Park Day is almost here! We have a lot of fun and amazing things in store for you this year, so make sure you come out!

Join family, friends, neighbors and the whole College Park community as we celebrate what makes our City so special.

This year's free event is jammed packed with awesome live music, exciting performances, a gigantic kids fun zone with bounce houses, a taste of College Park's local food and restaurants, a helicopter fly-in, meet and greet local public safety and flight personnel, lots of arts and crafts, face painting... the list goes on and on!

Here is a quick guide for what you can expect at this year's event!

PERFORMANCES

MAIN STAGE

12:00 p.m. - Crush Funk Brass Band

Crush Funk's style is unique, embodying hte brass tones of New Orleans second line,

12:50 p.m. - Mayor Wojahn's Welcome Remarks

1:15 p.m. - Cumbia One

Percy Recavarren leads a six-piece cumbia band

2:30 p.m. - Fantasm

KIDS ZONE

College Park Day also has a gigantic Kids Fun Zone complete with obstacle courses, a climbing wall, and a massive bounce house! New this year, we'll have a touch-a-truck area and snow plow painting activity!

On top of the tons of arts and crafts (like hat making, pumpkin painting and more), face painting games and other kids activities, this year there will be special performances just for kids! See above for some of the amazing performers coming this year.

CHECK OUT A FIRE TRUCK OR A HELICOPTER FLY-IN!

Interested in police, fire or rescue crews and learning more about what they do? Meet and greet local public safety and flight personnel including police, fire and EMS crews. Be sure to check out the helicopter display and fly out as well!

UNIQUE EXHIBITORS

Learn important information from community non-profits, businesses, and government agencies. Find out how to get involved. Many exhibitors offer free items and informative brochures.

PARKING & PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

Parking is available for FREE at the corner lot at Corporal Frank Scott Drive and Lehigh Road, Wells Ice Rink/Linson pool or at the College Park-U of MD Metro garage.

Disabled parking available onsite. Please see traffic control manager at the top of Corporal Frank Scott Drive and show your disabled parking placard or state issued plates and ID.

Public Transportation:

  • Metro Green Line to the College Park-U of MD stop. Event is 3 blocks away.
  • Shuttle-UM (for UMD affiliates) #104 UMD shuttle from Stamp Student Union/lot HH to the College Park-U of MD metro stop.
