Pollinator-Friendly Plants

The end of the summer/early fall is a perfect time for planting! If you have a spot in your yard that you've been considering turning into a pollinator-friendly space, but you're overwhelmed and intimidated by what to plant, here's five groups of native plant species (right) that will grow and do well together in College Park conditions.

To find locations to purchase these plants: take a look at the list of native plant nurseries the Bee City USA Committee put together at www.collegeparkmd.gov/nativeplantsuppliers.

To learn about other easy-to-grow plants for our area, check out the bilingual chart found on the City's website at www.collegeparkmd.gov/nativeplants.
