Public Hearing on the petition request for Traffic Calming in the 4600 Block of Guilford Road

The Mayor and Council of the City of College Park will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. to take public comment on the petition request to install a traffic calming device (speed hump) in the 4600 Block of Guilford Road. All interested parties shall have an opportunity to be heard. After the Public Hearing, the Mayor and Council will take action on the request.

Following the receipt of the petition request, the City Engineer’s office conducted a traffic study. His report can be found on the City’s web site at www.collegeparkmd.gov. Click on “Public Hearing Notice.” The report is also available from the City Clerk’s office.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mayor and Council will be meeting in a “Hybrid” format, meaning there will be both an in-person component and a virtual component to the Public Hearing. There are several ways you can participate.

• In writing: If you prefer, you may submit written comment. Please include your full name and address, and submit no later than 5:00 p.m. on the day of the hearing to cpmc@collegeparkmd.gov.

If you are unable to participate in the meeting, you may submit written comment prior to the Public Hearing. In order to be received by the Council as part of the record, the comment must include the specific topic to which it relates and the full name and address of the person submitting the comment. Written comment should be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on the day of the hearing to cpmc@collegeparkmd.gov.
