Continuing the Conversation: Town Halls on Community and Race Relations in College Park

Join us on Thursday, August 20 for another Town Hall on community and race relations in College Park. This forum will focus on policing and the Black Lives Matter movement. More details and featured panelists will be released in the coming weeks. For more information, please visit the City’s website at https://www.collegeparkmd.gov/blacklivesmatter.

College Park Day Cancellation:

We regret to announce the cancellation of the City’s annual College Park Day scheduled for Saturday, October 10, 2020 due to COVID-19 and Prince George’s County Executive Alsobrooks’ executive order prohibiting events and large gatherings of 100 people or more. The health and safety of our residents are what’s most important to us as we continue to monitor the situation.

The Mayor's Challenge for Water Conservation:

At the July 14th Mayor and Council Meeting, Resolution 20-R-18 was adopted. It is a friendly water use and pollution reduction competition between U.S. cities and is supported by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the National League of Cities. The City of College Park encourages its residents to take the Mayor's Challenge for Water Conservation by making a series of online pledges at www.mywaterpledge.com to reduce their impact on the environment during the month of August.
