Status of City Events, Parks & Playgrounds

City Events & Community Meetings

To comply with Governor Hogan's executive order prohibiting events and social gatherings of more than 10 people, the City has canceled or postponed all of its upcoming events and community meetings until further notice. Events may begin again once Maryland’s state of emergency has been lifted. For further details, please visit www.collegeparkmd.gov/covid19.

Parks And Playgrounds

All City parks, playgrounds and recreational facilities are closed to the public effective March 30, 2020. Hiking, biking, walking and more are permitted as long as social distancing (staying six feet or more away from each other) is followed.

Arbor Day Celebration

The City’s Arbor Day celebration scheduled for April 30th has been postponed until fall. A new date will be selected and advertised at a future time.

Spring Cleanup Saturdays

Department of Public Works Spring Cleanup Saturdays have been cancelled, including document shredding.
