Shopping at the Farmers Market
Most of us look forward to summer- beaches, picnics, outdoor dining, festivals and so much more. The one thing that we didn’t have on our summer bingo card is the number of food recalls! From deli meat to vegetables, grocery shopping has been like playing roulette. It might be time to try buying meats, fruits, and vegetables from local sellers. It’s more sustainable than grocery shopping and supports your local community. Luckily, there are many farmers markets in our area. Whether you are in DC, Maryland, or Virginia, you can find local farmers dedicated to providing our communities with high quality foods!
