Scholarships are granted up to a maximum of $400 per student. Students are eligible to receive a scholarship for one camp session only. Priority is given to youth who did not receive a City of College Park scholarship in previous years. The scholarship can be used for camps hosted by the University of Maryland, Prince George’s County Department of Parks & Recreation, and Prince George’s Community College.

Apply before March 22, 2024 at www.collegeparkmd.gov/summercamp2024.

Envisioning Roanoke Pocket Park

Your Voice Matters! A community poll is underway to determine the future site for a pocket park along Roanoke Ave in Berwyn. Residents are invited to cast their votes to select the ideal location for the new green space. Due to the nature of the location, environmentally sensitive options are being considered. Submit your opinion by March 23 at www.collegeparkmd.gov/roanokepark.

Adult Social Sports Club Interest Survey

The City is trying to gauge resident interest in an adults social sports league!

The Mayor and Council included $30,000 in the FY24 budget in anticipation of the City supporting an adult social sports league, including options for older adults, in the City of College Park. Moving forward with such a program in College Park would require developing a program design and assessing the overall impact for College Park residents. Prior to developing a program proposal, the City would like to receive resident feedback on the potential program.

Residents can request a paper copy of the survey at the City's Department of Youth, Family, and Senior Services (4912 Nantucket Road). Questions? Call 240-487-3550.

College Park Connect

The City of College Park is excited to launch College Park Connect, a new mobile resident engagement application and website powered by GOGov. The app and website allow residents to have a direct line of communication to request services and report issues such as potholes, graffiti, animal issues, litter, and more. The app will also be a great source of information with links to the City website, news, and upcoming events.

To report any non-emergency concern or issue, visit www.collegeparkmd.gov/tellus. To download the free app, go to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and search “College Park Connect” to find the app. As always, residents can call the City’s 24/7 Hotline at 240-487-3588 to report non-emergency issues including noise complaints. For emergency assistance, call 9-1-1 immediately for police, fire, or EMS assistance.

City staff will leverage powerful dashboards and reporting tools to identify hot spots, increase productivity, streamline communications, and prioritize projects. This app will further support the City’s Department of Public Works’ Bulk Trash Program by tracking and reporting all bulk trash collection data.
