Ordinance 21-O-09 was introduced at a Regular Meeting on July 20, 2021 and a Public Hearing was held on August 10, 2021. The Ordinance was then amended and adopted on May 10, 2022, and will become effective July 1, 2022. Notice of Outcome

The Mayor and Council held a Public Hearing on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 on the proposal to implement a new residential permit parking zone on the south side of the 4700 block of Cherokee Street for the residents of the Lennar townhouses. Following the Public Hearing, the Mayor and Council approved the implementation of permit restricted parking on the south side of the 4700 block of Cherokee Street, for the exclusive use of residents of the Lennar townhouses. Parking will be restricted by permit only 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with a limit of 2 permits per address, and 2 visitor passes per address, for occasional use. The zone will be reassessed at least annually to determine continued need. The City’s Parking Enforcement Division will contact the residents of the Lennar townhouses with further information about the Residential Permit Restricted Parking program and provide instructions on how the implementation will proceed.
