Route One Rampage Street Closures
On Sunday, April 7th, from 8AM to 5PM, the City of College Park will be closing several streets in the Old Town area for a collegiate bike race called “Route One Rampage.”
Between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., driving and parking will be prohibited along the racecourse which includes: 4500 - 4600 blocks of College Avenue; 4600 block of Norwich Road; 7400 - 7500 blocks of Hopkins Avenue; 4500 - 4600 blocks of Knox Road; 7500 block of Rhode Island Avenue; and 7400 block of Yale Avenue.

Zone 6 City permit holders who normally park along the race’s route need to relocate their vehicles to the City’s Parking Garage located at 4509 Knox Road (above Ledo’s Pizza) beginning on Saturday, April 6th at 6:00 p.m. Cars still parked on the racecourse by Sunday, April 7th at 5:00 a.m. will be towed to the lot behind The Hotel.

Sustainability Survey
College Park is committed to going green to create a more livable city that has lower impacts on the Earth. We’d like to hear from you about sustainable steps you are taking and green actions the City can take. Please take a few minutes to tell us about your activities and views on sustainability before April 19th at collegeparkmd.gov/sustainabilitysurvey24.
Rhode Island Avenue Phase 1 Survey
In late 2023, the City of College Park completed Phase 1 of the Rhode Island Avenue Protected Bike Lane Project between University Boulevard and Muskogee Street.
The completed project has installed concrete shared bus/bike platforms to improve bus reliability and eliminate bus vs. bike conflicts. Intersections have also been realigned and reconfigured to prevent drivers from illegally crossing the double white lane and traveling in the bike lane to pass left turning vehicles.
The Mayor and City Council will discuss the bike lanes, speed limit, and driver behavior on Rhode Island Avenue at a future Council Meeting. Give your feedback on the project by April 4th at www.collegeparkmd.gov/rhodeislandavesurvey

College Park Connect
The City of College Park is excited to launch College Park Connect, a new mobile resident engagement application and website powered by GOGov. The app and website allow residents to have a direct line of communication to request services and report issues such as potholes, graffiti, animal issues, litter, and more. The app will also be a great source of information with links to the City website, news, and upcoming events.
To report any non-emergency concern or issue, visit www.collegeparkmd.gov/tellus. To download the free app, go to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and search “College Park Connect” to find the app. As always, residents can call the City’s 24/7 Hotline at 240-487-3588 to report non-emergency issues including noise complaints. For emergency assistance, call 9-1-1 immediately for police, fire, or EMS assistance.
City staff will leverage powerful dashboards and reporting tools to identify hot spots, increase productivity, streamline communications, and prioritize projects. This app will further support the City’s Department of Public Works’ Bulk Trash Program by tracking and reporting all bulk trash collection data.
